Don Taylor is consulting with the Museum of American Speed on creative display of the Herzog Motorsports collection which is now in the hands of the Museum. The Herzog family have a winning record in off-road, Pike Peak, NASCAR, and NHRA racing, with drivers including Jimmie Johnson, Larry Ragland, and the Pedregon Brothers. The display consists of seven vehicles, six engines, and numerous trophies, helmets, etc. all awaiting a new space in the Museum's addition in 2023.
Mr. Taylor has experience in the motorsports and specialty vehicle arena. As Group Manager at General Motors Racing he oversaw the NASCAR programs and planning for the company's LeMans assault. He has consulted to Hyundai's race program and the Automotive X Prize, is Director for the Stand 21 Safety Foundation, and represents the UK's Motorsports Industry Association in the US.
He is automobile book collector, writes book reviews, and enjoys diecast model cars.
