Micheal Penn
World Forum for Motor Museums Secretariat Chairman
UK
I retired from the military (Fleet Air Arm) in 1985 and took up with John H Haynes OBE to create his museum in the UK. We started with just 29 cars and a motorcycle. When I retired from the daily management of the museum we had over 400 major exhibits. I now sit on the Board of Trustees of the Haynes International Motor Museum, the British Motorcycle Charitable Trust along with several other unrelated Charitable Trusts.
In my spare time I restore veteran and vintage motorcycles and run a folk festival. I also make bespoke silver jewelry.
I live in an old farmhouse that was built before Christopher Columbas breached the shores of the fledgling Americas.
You can talk to me about anything you wish but if you do, please be prepared for a long session.
