Autoworld Museum Brussels General Manager
Sébastien de Baere was appointed Managing Director of Autoworld Museum Brussels in 2011. He has been a Board Director on the Council of Brussels Museums since 2013. He is the initiator of ‘The European National Motor Museums’ project (2015). Through exhibitions and events, he developed the Museum’s legacy of enriching public life, taking in various automotive themes organized throughout the year, focusing on educational programmes and tools that challenge conventional ideas in the field of the automotive evolution. These range from horse-drawn carriages through to classic motorcycles, vintage cars and future concept cars, and other initiatives that bring Autoworld’s renowned collection to audiences worldwide. Results are the best key to measuring success and impact. In 2019 the museum welcomed 185,000 visitors; this number having tripled since his appointment in 2011.
