Maine Classic Car Musem General Manager
Arundel, Maine
Greetings from the Maine Classic Car Museum, "Where Lifes Goes in Reverse". We love what we do and hope it shows to every visitor, student, client and enthusiast. We are a relatively new Museum, opening in 2019 and welcoming over 10,000 visitors from around the world (and 49 states this summer--if anyone knows anyone from South Dakota who wants to visit us, we have a special prize for them!). Our campus on Seacoast Maine is minutes from Kennebunkport, the summer home of President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush. Even though people told us we were crazy, we opened up our 50-car display with not a single rope in the building. We're proud to offer visitors a complete 360 access to every car. For the past 10 years, our dealership and now our Museum has sponsored a student internship program, where area high school students in career and technical programs can earn school credit while working in our Service Center and in our Museum. We've won numerous awards for business of the year. We were excited to have one of our students graduate this year and he is now enrolled at McPherson and thriving. Our collection features 1948 Tucker #28, 1939 Alfa Romeo 2500C, and a 1949 Ferarri 166, the 16th Ferrari road car ever made. We have student-produced short-subject films, along with a variety of artifacts and curiosities. As the founder and general manager, we are proud of our diverse workforce and work hard to support diversity, equity, and inclusion in everything that we do. We learn something new every day and love to share our enthusiasm and curiosity with visitors.
We are also trying to show NAAM that even though we are a for-profit business, we deliver on the values, educational programs, community outreach and the mission of NAAM (even if you won't let us participate in the NAAMY Awards program). Let's celebrate what we have in common and not divide or exclude us on how we are different. Come see us when you can!
